other surgery, there are certain risks associated with abortion. There are various

The physical risks of abortion are well known. After an abortion, many women may bleed heavily, causing hemorrhaging. In rare instances this loss of blood would need to be replaced by a blood transfusion. Infection is another physical risk of an abortion. Normally a woman would notice an infection if there was pain or a fever following the abortion. Infertility could be the result if an infection was left untreated after an abortion.
Other physical risks of abortion deal with future risks. During the abortion procedure, the instruments used may puncture through the uterine wall. This could harm other organs surrounding your uterus and cause permanent damage. Another future risk of abortion is the increased chance of a miscarriage. In later years, a wanted pregnancy has an increased risk of terminating if you have had two or more abortions.
There are also emotional risks associated with abortions. You may feel extreme guilt or sadness about your decision. Some women feel something called “Post Abortion Stress Disorderâ€, which is a confusion of feelings after an abortion. Many people are surprised by their emotional reactions to abortions. It is wise to be prepared.
There are risks to any surgery. Abortion is no exception. Before you choose an abortion, be sure to evaluated the many risks that go along with the surgery. Physically you could potentially damage your organs or deter future wanted pregnancies. Emotionally you may feel overwhelmed and guilty. If an abortion is worth the risks listed, then it may be the right choice for you.
